« I believe Carole Chan is an excellent choice for President of  our Federal Council. Carole is a fluently bilingual lawyer who grew up in BC, studied in Quebec and is working and raising her family in New Brunswick. This gives her the skills and an appreciation of the regional differences which make up our Canada and the Green Party of Canada. 

Carole was a strong candidate for the provincial Green Party in New Brunswick in 2020, finishing second in Moncton South and worked on Laura Rainsborough’s federal campaign in 2019. Tragically, shortly after the 2020 provincial election Carole’s husband, a law professor at the Université de Moncton, died. She had hoped to seek the GPC nomination in Moncton for the upcoming election but felt it was too early for her to be away from her 3 young children. She feels she can continue to support the GPC by offering to serve as President of Federal Council.
